Today I am going to show you the cheap and cheerful way I store my makeup/beauty products! Hopefully this might help some of you free up some space in your beauty cabinet or dressing table! I don’t know about you girls (or boys, I’m an equal opportunity blogger ;-)) but I have one large makeup bag which holds my ‘essential stuff’ and then I have a lot of other
crap ’STUFF’! These are the types of products that you find randomly thrown in drawers or at the bottom of half empty toiletry bags! For example: the eye shadow you bought back in 2005 which is now pretty awful but you loved at the time, the multiple eyelash curlers (and lets be honest, when was the last time you curled your eyelashes??) and the tubes full of far too dark foundation! I will gladly admit I am a hoarder so instead of getting rid of this ‘stuff’ I prefer to keep them ‘just in case’. Plus, it’s not all rubbish! Here is my simple, cheap and storage friendly solution:
I picked up these ‘Tubz’ lunch boxes in Tesco for €2.99, but I have also seen them in the Pound Shop/€2 Store for cheaper (I think €1 or €2 but I cannot remember). I also picked up Tesco self-adhesive labels. These were approx €4.50! Ideally you could have a label maker but I haven’t gotten my hands on one of them yet! Let me know if you see them on sale somewhere!!! Before we begin I will show you the layout of my dressing table and where I store products in my room. First off I have a large dressing table which you can see below is free of products and is a good open space to do my make up, etc (however, 95% if the time I do my make up in my car (not while driving . . . )).
The reason I can have this dressing table nice and free is because all my makeup and beauty products are stored in the corner unit:
Here is a closer look. On top I keep books, DVD’s and a picture of me and my BFF! In the middle shelf I keep all the big beauty products and perfumes. On the bottom I keep my makeup products in labelled boxes:
You would not believe how many products are stored in the lunch boxes on the bottom shelf! I am a little confined because this is a corner unit and so the press is angled, but if it was a regular square press you would fit even more lunch boxes in! The best bit is that you can stack them all up! Here is a closer look at the way I have stored my products:
Lip Products, Blush & Misc:
Face, Brushes & Nails:
And then they all fit into the press like this:

I hope you enjoyed this cheap and cheerful way to make a bit of space and to organise your products!
